Lodgify Mobile app

Fusion app

To enhance operational efficiency and unify existing tools,We merged an old app with the Lodgify app. This unification provided cleaning staff with a task management calendar that integrates all.

Design process

Who initiated the project?

The project was initiated by the group product manager to streamline workflows and improve usability for cleaning staff.

What problem or opportunity did they identify?

The existing PM Modules app was outdated and lacked integration with Lodgify. Cleaning staff faced difficulties managing tasks across multiple platforms, leading to inefficiencies and missed tasks.

Why was this worth exploring?

Unifying the apps and creating a task calendar would:
Simplify task management for cleaning staff. Ensure all team members have access to real-time task updates. Reduce missed or duplicate tasks and Improve overall productivity and satisfaction for cleaning staff.

Discovery

This phase was in collaboration with the UX researcher and the Product manager

  • Research Methods
  • Interviews with cleaning staff to understand pain points.
  • Analysis of task completion rates and delays.
  • Usability testing of existing PM Modules and Lodgify apps.
  • Key Findings
  • Cleaning staff found the PM Modules interface outdated and challenging to navigate.
  • There was confusion about task ownership and status due to lack of clear indicators.
  • Staff preferred a visual representation of tasks (e.g., a calendar) over text-based lists.

Problem definition

This phase was in collaboration with the UX researcher and the Product manager

Problem 1

Cleaners need a comprehensive overview to visualize their monthly operational duties as we noticed the current UX does not effectively empower them to efficiently organize and manage their tasks.

Problem 2

Cleaners need a user-friendly interface that enables them to easily understand and manage their tasks. We've noticed that the current UX/UI and information hierarchy do not align with their priorities, such as rental name, check-in time, and claimed status.

Problem 3

Cleaners need an efficient method to report task updates/statuses without wasting time on tedious administrative actions as we noticed that they are frustrated by the current process of individually taking and uploading photos for each task.
